  • Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant 118, marking his second century of the series and powering India into a commanding position. He also became the first Indian with four centuries in a Test series in England and crossed 700+ runs in the series  .
  • Akash Deep, sent in as a “nightwatchman,” delivered a stunning 66, his maiden Test fifty, against England’s record books—even surpassing Gautam Gambhir’s mark for an Indian nightwatchman in England  .
  • Ravindra Jadeja added 53 off 77 balls, hitting five boundaries. He surpassed a 59-year-old record by Garry Sobers, and also overtook Virat Kohli to claim the most fifty-plus scores by an Indian in an away series in England and amassed the most runs batting at No.6 or lower in an away Test series  .

England Reply & Stand-in Situation

England began their chase with openers Crawley and Duckett adding a solid 50-run opening stand in 13 overs, showing their aggressive “Bazball” style  . However at the final ball of the day, Mohammed Siraj produced a perfect in-swinging yorker to bowl Crawley for 14, making it 50/1 at stumps. England still needs another 324 runs with nine wickets in hand to claim the series  .
